SEO Tips: Add Social Media Share Widget For Blogger



In this post, I will show you how to add beautiful Social media sharing buttons to blogger posts.

1. First of all, go to www.sharethis.com. You have to sign up here

for getting social media sharing widget.

2. After signing up, login to your account. 


3. Click on "Get Sharing" option from the top menu bar .


4. Choose your blogging platform and then select "Next".

 
 5. Now select the style of the sharing buttons and proceed to next step.


6. On this page,you have a choice to customize the sharing buttons. Also, you have a choice to add sharing buttons of different social media networks. After selecting the buttons, Click on "Get the Code".

7. On next page, Copy the HTML code and save it in your PC in the form of text or word file.

8. Go to blogger dashboard. Click on the arrow pointing downwards on the right upper corner of the page and select Template.

9. Click on Edit HTML. 

10. Now search for <head> and paste the following code above the <head>

11. Click on Save Template

12. Now go to the blogger dashboard. Click on the arrow pointing downwards on the right upper corner of the page and then select "Layout".

13. On the Layout page, you will see different options of "Add a gadget". On the left side, you will see "Blog Posts". You have to place Social media sharing gadget below the Blog Posts so click on "Add a Gadget" option located below the Blog posts.

14. A page appears on which different gadgets are listed. Search for HTML/JavaScript.

  
11. Click on HTML/JavaScript and paste the HTML code of the Widget which you have saved in your PC. Click on "Save" and close the page. Now open your blog and you will see the widget below every post.Through this widget, visitors can share your posts on social media and hence increases blog traffic which in turn increases SEO of your blog.
